Exceptional creations
LORENZ BÄUMER HAS ALWAYS WANTED TO LIVE A CREATIVE LIFE. CREATING IS A MATTER OF COURSE, WHETHER YOU'RE AWAKE OR ASLEEP, DAY OR NIGHT. IF BEAUTY IS THE PROMISE OF HAPPINESS AND A ROSY FUTURE, THEN BEING A JEWELRY DESIGNER IS FIRST AND FOREMOST ABOUT KEEPING THAT PROMISE.
HIS FINEST CREATIONS
CHARLENE DE MONACO'S “ECUME DE DIAMANTS” TIARA
In 2011, Lorenz Bäumer had the honor of being chosen as Princess Charlène of Monaco's personal jeweler for her wedding. Among several proposals, the “Écume de diamants” tiara proved to be the only one and won the Princess's heart. The tiara, set with multiple diamonds of different sizes, was inspired by their shared passion for the sea, the Princess being a champion swimmer and Lorenz Bäumer a keen surfer.
ACADEMICIANS' SWORDS
Lorenz Bäumer has created 4 academician swords, for Gabriel de Broglie, Jacques Taddéi, François Girod and Xavier Darcos. Far from being a weapon, the sword is a work of art, a manifesto in which can be read, in symbolic terms, the events, ambitions, loves and convictions that have shaped or punctuated the career of the man who accesses the immortality of men.
ROSE BÄUMER RING
The ring's design evokes a rose, with each petal sculpted by a pavement of white diamonds revealing an exceptional yellow diamond at its center. The structure underlines the brilliance of each stone, creating a play of light and reflections that testifies to the richness of the hues and the finesse of the assembly.
SCARABEE AUTOMNE BROOCH
The Scarabée d'Automne brooch is a feat of jewelry. Its shimmering, leaf-like colors are enhanced by a superb citrine and a dazzling yellow diamond. Its wings open to reveal an olfactory material created to reproduce the scent of the perfume of your choice. A unique, rare and exceptional piece.
GOOD GIRL BROOCH - BAD GIRL ARAIGNÉE EXTRAVAGANTE
The Extravagant Spider brooch is an exceptional, one-of-a-kind piece. The sublime 38-carat natural Abalone pearl is surrounded by amethysts and purple sapphires, paraiba tourmalines and white diamonds. Its design, enhanced by the subtlety of black rhodium-plated gold, makes it an incredible piece of beauty and technique.

DESIGNER JEWELRY PLACE VENDÔME
Lorenz Bäumer has always wished to place his life under the sign of creation. Creating is a matter of course, whether awake or asleep, day or night. It's also a pleasure that the jeweler can share daily with those he doesn't necessarily know, those who wear his designer jewelry. If beauty is the promise of happiness and a rosy outlook on life, being a jewelry designer is first and foremost about keeping that promise. It requires a few talents, and above all, not to compartmentalize them, to let them grow, to be a complete artist. But above all, the main driving force behind this eternal desire to create is passion. Without passion, nothing is possible, because with passion it's possible to dare, to learn, to invent and to reinvent designer jewelry collections. So it was on Place Vendôme, the only possible address in France for a jeweler striving for excellence, that jewelry designer Lorenz Bäumer set up his Cabane du Créateur in Paris, a veritable cabinet of ideas, an incubator of emotions and beauty, a research laboratory, a creative space where new concepts are born and new techniques are tested. Our exceptional creations reflect the unique corporate culture of Bäumer Vendôme and our business: art, originality, know-how and a touch of madness. Every day, customers discover this creative force and what it brings: astonishing, over-the-top designer jewelry.
SOURCES OF INSPIRATION FOR DESIGNER JEWELRY
The jeweler's sources of inspiration are many, but nature and its fruits are certainly what Lorenz Bäumer wants most of all to preserve in the form of designer jewelry collections, for rings, necklaces, pendants, bracelets and other exceptional pieces, in white or rose gold. Indeed, that's the magic of jewelry! All that is perishable and fragile can attain eternal life. That precious flower won't wilt, that cherry branch won't need water, that stem won't break. Everything is possible! This jewelry designer tames nature and bends it to his will. Here, the most delicate leaf curls, here, a petal settles and holds as if by magic. The jeweler is a tightrope walker, running the tightrope of creation between today and tomorrow. When the balance is perfect, time stands still, and creative jewels are born.
EXCEPTIONAL MATERIALS FOR DESIGNER JEWELRY
The quality of the gold, white or pink, but above all of the stones, is the starting point for an extraordinary creation, for the luxurious experience that a customer can come to France, and more precisely to Paris's Place Vendôme, to seek from a jewelry designer. The choice of stones really is at the heart of the creative process. One stone can inspire the creation of a ring, a brooch, a pair of earrings and other pieces. Two stones together are like fireworks. The challenge for Lorenz Bäumer, jeweler and creator of bespoke jewelry, is to create the perfect alchemy and balance between all these elements, each more noble and luxurious than the last. Colored diamonds represent only 5% of the world's diamonds, making them extremely rare. His favorite stones are saturated tourmalines, peridots and spinels. The land of the most astonishing stones? Brazil, where all the colors of creation come together: imperial topazes, rarer than diamonds, with delicate peach nuances; tourmalines in rainbow hues; amethysts in bishop's robes, with reflections full of mystery; citrines shimmering like honey, or emeralds, the captious mint of secret gardens... Here are the components of the most beautiful designer jewelry.
THE STEPS INVOLVED IN CREATING A DESIGNER JEWEL
The basis of creation: drawing. Drawing is an essential step in the creation of creative jewelry, a projection of the idea in two dimensions, before moving on to modeling in space. The idea must come immediately, it must spring to life on paper. Atelier production begins with art, and only art: the designer is inspired by an original message he or she wishes to communicate to the public, by a particular corporate culture, by an eye-catching shaped stone... All the different ideas, whether classic or extravagant, are classified, numbered, structured and selected, without exception, to keep only the best. All that's left for the inspiration to do is to be drawn, reworked and drawn again, until the final result is exceptional.Once the creative urge has been expressed, the workshops take over. The company selects the best workshops in France and around the world, benefiting from exceptional know-how adapted to the complexity of each piece. Hundreds and hundreds of hours of work go into the creation of designer jewelry. The setting must be sculpted, molded, cast, chased, pre-polished and drilled. The creation of products and objects belonging to a collection is carried out within the same technical structure. The shaped stones are sorted, weighed, measured and selected before the jewel is assembled and set, and then its serial number is affixed. After assembly, the technical fabrication of the products and objects forming a collection is carried out in the workshop. Information on stone care and use is then provided. This requires almost a hundred hours of work. Then the cutting, setting and finishing of the stones again require over fifty hours of meticulous work and rare expertise. Of course, at Bäumer Vendôme, our sales activity is followed by the provision of information about stone care and the use of designer jewelry. All these combined skills, efforts and hours are undoubtedly a sine qua non for the realization of an exceptional piece, which will provoke unforgettable emotions in its owner.
EXCEPTIONAL DESIGNER JEWELRY
Exceptional workshops, lapidaries, diamond cutters and goldsmiths all contribute their exceptional know-how to the creation of jewelry in France. Some of Lorenz Bäumer's creations give movement to precious stones, freeing them for a moment of illusion from the laws of gravity, capturing a maximum of light and casting a multitude of lights. The Menotte ring makes a sapphire “levitate” between the fingers; the two emeralds in another ring seem to float on the hand, held in place by a mysteriously decorative chain. Lorenz Bäumer's creations also incorporate the most unusual components: meteorites, daguerreotypes, stones from ancient Petra, a 3,000-year-old figurine of a polymorphous Egyptian god... The jeweller's boundless creativity knows no bounds, and even manages to divert certain objects from their traditional or historical function. Customs and traditions are overturned and revisited, as are setting techniques, which are constantly reinvented... Here's the recipe for the finest designer jewelry: rings, earrings, pendants and other exceptional pieces, set with diamonds and other precious stones.
